Sanitation Project Manager

Kitchinme Bawa is a Nigerian national and the Sanitation Project Manager at AMCOW. He holds an MSc in Global Management from the University of Salford in the UK.  He also has a BSc in Geology and Mining from the University of Jos, Nigeria; a certificate on Governance in Urban Sanitation from the United Nations Institute of Training and Research (UNITAR) Geneva, Switzerland and a certificate in Advance Monitoring and Evaluation from the INTRAC Oxford, UK.

Kitchinme has more than 14 years experience in international development working in Nigeria and across the continent at different levels. His experience includes participatory community engagement and service delivery with the most vulnerable groups and high-level stakeholder engagement at national, sub regional and continental levels.This involved working on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) governance with a focus on High-Level Policy Advocacy and influencing; multistakeholder engagement and coordination; and monitoring and reporting on High-Level regional decisions, and commitments on the WASH enabling environment.

He also coordinated knowledge sharing and learning events across the continent, including inter-continental sharing and learning in sanitation and hygiene involving Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America.  

His interests include networking, football, global politics and music.
