World Water Council Bureau Meeting
The Bureau Meeting will serve as an important platform for leaders in the water sector to exchange ideas, share information, and collaborate on initiatives to address pressing water-related issues globally. The meeting will cover a wide range of topics, including water access, water security, water governance, water management, and water sustainability.
The meeting will advance the work of the World Water Council through the assignment of roles and responsibilities. It is also expected that participants will make commitments and agreements that will lead to concrete actions to improve the state of the world's water resources.

United Nations (UN) 2023 Water Conference
This is formally known as the 2023 Conference for the Midterm Comprehensive Review of Implementation of the UN Decade for Action on Water and Sanitation (2018-2028). Co-hosted by Tajikistan and the Netherlands. The conference is to bring together leaders, experts, and stakeholders from around the world to discuss and find solutions to pressing water-related issues.
The conference is expected to set actions, recommendations and will establish commitments aimed at improving water access, water security, water governance, water management, and water sustainability. This will include new or strengthened partnerships, agreements, and initiatives to support the sustainable development and management of water resources.

Every year since 1993, World Water Day (22 March) raises awareness and inspires action to tackle the water and sanitation crisis. It is about taking action to tackle the global water crisis of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water. It is a United Nations observance coordinated by UN-Water
The commemoration of World Water Day 2023 is expected to increase awareness, political will, collaboration, action toward contributing to the achievement of the SDG6 and to promote the sustainable management of water resources for present and future generations.

Commemoration of World Hand Hygiene Day
Focused on recognizing that we can add to a facility's climate or culture of safety and quality through cleaning our hands but also that a strong quality and safety culture will encourage people to clean hands at the right times and with the right products.
Clean hands are prioritised in health facilities, people at all levels need to believe in the importance of hand hygiene and IPC to save lives, by acting as key players in achieving the appropriate behaviours and attitudes towards it.

SWA’s Finance Ministerial Meeting for Africa
The meeting will underscore the crucial role of water, sanitation and hygiene to the African economy, population, and environment during and after COVID-19, and will offer ministers practical avenues for financing the sector.
Ministers of Finance from Africa convened to discuss the political and institutional reforms required to make better use of existing financing and to attract additional resources for the WASH sector to the SDGs.
